My name is Bartłomiej Szczygło and I love to create digital stuff 💻

I’ve been always been passionate about games so I started to develop them on game jams. Later on I get more interested in software. Meanwhile, I was doing sports, recording and editing huge amounts of footage and discovered my enthusiasm for VFX & CGI. And so Am I, flowing between those two worlds of programming and 2D/3D graphics😉.

I studied in Warsaw University of Technology at Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Fachhochschule Salzburg in Austria during Erasmus program. Studies, supplemented by game development science klub KNTG (Koło Naukowe Twórców Gier “Polygon”) and many (20+) hackathons, gave me very broad view on many, many different technologies, but also working environments (solo/small team/big team).

I worked for small VR startups, mid-sized companies but also for corporations (Samsung). I also have many personal projects and did freelance.

During my career I’ve touched many technologies: from Assembler, Pascal, C and Linux, through WPF, R and Kotlin all the way to Next.js, Unreal Engine and Unity. I coded for many platforms: embedded systems, smartphones, computers, web, VR, AR and even 3D screens. My skillset ranges between low-level programming (although I prefer more high-level programming languages, such as C# or python now) through high-level programming and GUI-based systems (such as game engines) up to 3D CAD software: archviz, modelling, printing and prototyping, also 2D/3D design, motion graphics and video editing. I am love all kinds of behind-the-scenes of all the interactive media and visuals, and there am I. (I even go beyond software and prototype my own hardware 🔧).

I expertise in: software development especially with game engines (Unity, UE), VR and AR, visual effects and video editing, generative AI and LLM’s. Recently I am researching real-life RAG applications and training chatGPT with custom data with python.
